Objective
The objective of this project was to demonstrate the potential benefits of Insure® Pulse – a registered seed treatment application for flax when combined with low, medium, and high seeding rates.
Grower Benefits
- Treatment of seeds of flax cv. Glas with Insure® Pulse improved seedling establishment; the rate of 300 ml/100 kg seeds appeared to be most effective in increasing stand density.
- No significant yield-boosting effects of seed treatment could be identified. Seed yield was negatively correlated with seeding rate.
- Seed treatment negligibly increased (by less than a day) time to seed physiological maturity.
